Commercial property prices rose in 2018

Commercial property prices edged 1.8% higher in 2018, a slowdown from the pace in 2017, as measured by the CoStar Commercial Repeat Sales Index. Price performance has been mixed across property types, writes Nareit researcher Alexandra Thompson, who notes that prices of industrial properties gained 8.5%, multifamily prices gained 6.0% and office prices edged higher, while prices of retail properties declined slightly.
