Pier 1 Imports to shut as many as 450 stores

Pier 1 Imports plans to close as many as 450 of 942 stores in the US and Canada, shut some distribution centers and lay off some employees. The retailer's shares fell on Monday after Bloomberg reported the company was considering filing for bankruptcy.
